 Challenge :

   •     Improve the user web mail experience by providing a seamless way to view MS Office document
       attachments.
   •    Required a highly scalable, high performance solution that produced superior quality web-friendly output.
   •    In order to keep high user satisfaction levels, a sub 3 second threshold was chosen for 
       the conversion time limit.
   •    due to the importance of safeguarding user privacy, document security was a significant concern.

   •   Naver decided to use the hosted ThinkFree Conversion server solution to meet their demand for a fast MS
      office document convertor without sacrificing output quality.

   •   To meet performance demands, Naver’s load balancing scheme utilized a L4 switch to distribute the
      workload over a Conversion server farm.  
      As a result, the sub 3 second response time was easily attained by the combination of the high
      performance conversion servers and the scalable network architecture.      
   •   Naver also needed to satisfy strict security requirements.  
      They accomplished this by extending the Conversion server platform with the addition of 
      ACL(access control list) servers.
