You can display numbers and formulas in various formats. You can display data in a specific format such as number, time, currency, date, or phone number.
Change Format
Perform the following to change the cell format.
- Select a range of cells whose data you want to display using a percent sign.
- Click Format-Number Format-Percentage.
Or click the Percentage icon on the toolbar to change data format quickly.
Change Decimal Display
Perform the following to change the decimals.
- Select a range of cells whose data you want to change the decimals.
- Click Format-Number Format-Accounting.
- Click the Increase Decimal icon an many as you want to display decimals on the toolbar.
You can also reduce the decimal place by clicking the Decrease Decimal icon on the toolbar.

Menu | Description |

Number | Dispaly decimal places, 1000 separator, and negative number. |
Currency | Display numeric values as currency. |
Accounting | Display numbers and currency symbols in the same place regardless of the number of digits in the number. |
Short Date | Display numeric values as short dates. |
Long Date | Display numeric values as long dates. |
Time | Display numeric values as time. |
Percentage | Display numeric values as a percentage (%). With percentage formatting, the cell value multiplied by 100 appears with a percentage symbol. |
Fraction | Display numeric values as a fraction. |
Scientific | Display numeric values as a scientific. |
Text | Display numeric values as an entered text. If you use a cell value reformatted to text in a calculation, it won't be included in the calculation. |
