Fill
- None
Select None to disable fill effects.
- Solid
Specify color and transparency to apply solid fill. - Color
Select a color from the color palette.
- Transparency
Specify transparency for the selected color.
- Gradation
Fill the background with gradation for gradual color spread. - Type
Select a gradation type to spread.
- Direction
Select a gradation direction to spread.
- Angle
Specify the angle of the effect.
- Gradient Stops
Provides gradient stops preview bar.
- Gradient Stops
Each stop is located below the gradation preview bar and you can view the color, position and transparency of a gradient stop by selecting the gradient stop on the bar.
- Color
Select a color from the color palette and change the color of the selected gradient stop.
- Position
Adjust the position of the selected gradient stop
- Transparency
Specify the transparency of the selected gradient point.
- Pattern
Fill the object with a pattern. - Pattern
Select a pattern from the image collection to fill the side of the object.
- Foreground Color
Select the foreground color of the pattern when the color palette appears.
- Background Color
Select the background color of the pattern when the color palette appears.
- Transparency
Specify transparency for the selected color.
- Image
Fill the object with an image. - Image
Open a picture file to fill the side of the object.
- Transparency
Specify transparency for the image.
- Tiled
Stretch or tile the picture to fill.
The sub options are vary depending on the arrangement.- Base Point
Specify where to set as a base point in the background.
- Offset X/Y
Specify how much space to set in horizontal and vertical directions from base point.
- Scale X/Y
Adjust the horizontal and vertical scale of the picture.
- Mirror Type
Specify the symmetry type of the picture to fill in tiles. Select from “None, Horizontal, Vertical, All”.

- Offset Left/Right
Specify the horizontal scale of the picture so that the width of the picture is scaled to the left or right of the object.
- Offset Top/Bottom
Specify the vertical scale of the picture so that the height of the picture is scaled relative to the top or bottom of the object.
- Hide Background Graphics
Hide the background graphic object that was inserted to the parent slide master (shape, image, chart, etc.) so that it does not appear in the selected layout or slide. You can also set the graphic objects on the slides that use a specific layout to not to displayed on that slide.
Although you cannot insert a graphic object directly into a slide master or layout because Online Presentation does not currently support editing the master, you can use this feature to show or hide the object if you import and edit documents that already have the object in that area.
- Reset Background
Click this button to change the background of the current layout to match the background style of the master. Note that this button is enabled only the layouts applied with a different background than the master's background in the slide master view.
